Producing not-for-profit theater in New York City is a labor of love. Even a sold-out show only returns about 50% of the total cost of mounting a production. Each year we work to close this gap by hosting our annual fundraising event (the Midsummer Sparkler), by writing grants (thank you to NYSCA in 2011), by selling company merchandise, by contributing our own cash out-of-pocket, and through the generosity of our friends and fans. If you’ve heard it a thousand times, it’s because it’s true: Every dollar counts.
